Camping

We have completed the first three stages of our USA vacation and can't believe how fast time is flying by.

Stage 1- Coronado Island
Stage 2- Oceanside
Stage 3- Camping in Lake Casitas
Stage 4- Paines in Shell Beach (in process)

Camping was so, so fun! I was a little nervous about how this would go with a toddler and baby for four nights, but it was seriously great. We rented a 18' trailor which made life so much easier. We enjoyed the sunny weather and many fun outings to Ojai and Ventura. It was great to be active, go jogging and get private Pilates lessons from Jen. Josiah really got into the rocks, sticks, throwing leaves in the campfire, and getting filthy from head to toe. Best of all it was great to just be together. All of the Paines share the "love languages" of quality time and words of affirmation, so it an encouraging time of hanging out.

Crashed, crashed and crashed!

For all (three) of you who read this blog, I thought I'd let you know the Paines are still alive and very much in the moment. A couple weeks ago our computer got a virus and crashed. The next day Josiah pulled the desk (and computer down) giving it a second crash and a sure death. A few days later we moved to a new flat, unpacked, packed for a month long trip, flew around the world, and crashed again! We have been recouping on lovely Coronado Island, San Diego. We are just about over jet lag and the colds the kids picked up on the flight. God is so faithful to us and we are incredibly thankful to be here. So, you can expect photos and updates on the way. Thanks for checking in on us!
