Tonight I went on a date with my handsome husband to Sai Kung, a relaxed little fishing town known for its seafood. It had been a while since we'd gone out just the two of us and we really enjoyed our time together. We talked, laughed and shared our dreams. It was nice to take in our time together without juggling board books, doling out finger food, and chasing our little man from one disaster to the next.
After dinner we strolled a bit. Along the water fisherman sell their catch fresh off their boats, tossing it in bags to the people on the dock above. This picture is of Jason and some horseshoe crabs on the sidewalk.
After we picked Josiah up from our friend's house (he did well, no tears) we decided he is ready for his first pair of real shoes. The folks at Dr. Kong measured his foot and helped us pick a good pair. They seem big to me, but I guess that is how they are supposed to fit. He looked goofy running around the store in his big shoes and jammies. Just another "first" that we enjoyed. We can't believe how fast Josiah is growing up!

Josiah's Latest Tricks. . .
- covering his eyes with his pudgy fingers to play his own game of "peek-a- boo"
- patting his hand over his mouth to make the "ah- ah- ah" Indian war cry
- picking his nose (such a boy)
- blowing raspberries on my arm
- pulling his finger out of his mouth trying to make the "pop" sound
- pressing elevator buttons indiscriminately, he has obviously been influenced by HK culture because he impatiently presses them repeatedly!

We Love Our Church!
Our church is very international. It has a very large ministry to refugees in the city supporting them financially and helping them through the asylum seeking process. This past Sat. the refugee minsity had a party in the park. Despite the poor weather we had a great time eating Nepalese, Sri Lankan and African food. We got to worship and learn more about the plight of these brothers and sisters of ours. It was like a slice of heaven when peoples from every nation will worship the King.

Ultimate!
Our past two weekends have been quite fun. Easter weekend was very relaxing, except for Sat. I joined an ultimate frisbee tournament. I thought it would be pretty kick back, boy was I wrong. Very cool people, just intense about frisbee. Each game was 1hr with all kinds of strategies, codes, and plays. We ended up making it to the championship game, but lost by a point. Josiah and Christine were a great support on the sidelines.

Easter
Today our Mom's group had an Easter party and Josiah enjoyed collecting the eggs, dropping them in his basket, dumping his basket, and chewing on the wrapped candy (he eats the outside, I eat the inside!) We were so thankful to be able to celebrate the holiday in good health. Josiah spent last Thursday and Friday back in the hospital with another respiratory infection. He left the hospital with marks on both his little hands where the IV needles were. It was such a reminder to me all weekend of what Christ endured on the cross for us. Thank you Jesus! Happy (late) Easter!

As you can see Josiah is loving walking! Sometimes he gets so giddy with excitement he just falls over! Enjoy the video (and disregard the other pages of the digital "scrapbook") I'm not sure why we can't just add movies directly onto blogger. Can anyone else do this?

Got Him
It wasn't really fair considering Jason hadn't had his coffee yet and was at school til 10pm the night before finishing his report cards- but I couldn't resist. I fed him a line about and email from his principal saying his grades had all been erased and Jason ate it up! It was a proud moment for me because I am the world's worst liar. But the best part was shouting "April Fools"! Do any of your have something up your sleeve?
