Here are some pictures from the "inside" that Josiah's teacher posted. He has a wonderful teacher and we feel so incredibly blessed for the education he is getting (for free!) The lessons are developmentally appropriate and the teachers are laying a wonderful foundation for the students of who God is and who they are. They spend a lot of time teaching the kids to love and honor each other. Josiah is also taking an after school gymnastics class once a week and I am going to begin volunteering in his classroom twice a month, will be fun!
This is the Mandarin teacher Mrs. Au. If you look closely you can see Jack and Josiah are holding hands in this photo (:
Love this boy!!
Sharing his wheel with the class on "circle day"
And because we are such big ICS fans we had to buy the ICS dolls which ended up shopping with us. Annette is already excited to get to go to school next year!

They obviously go to a Christian school...but is it a private English one? Or are the kiddos learning (going to learn) Mandarin? I'm super curious about the school!!
Josiah goes to the same school Jason has taught at the last six years. It is a private Christian International school. The teachers are just about all foreigners, mostly Americans, but Canadians, Brits, Kiwis etc and the school follows an American curriculum . Most of the students "look" Chinese, but many hold passports from America, Australia, etc. One of the primary purposes for parents sending their kids to ICS is so that they can go to college in America.
Right now he has two Mandarin classes a week, but that is increased once they start Elementary school and begin reading and writing characters.
Thanks for your interest Jennifer- hope you are doing well (:
That prayer picture is awesome. so sweet!
Ahh, great photos! I do have one question. Can you explain that pregnancy photo in the background of the one of Josiah washing something? That seems like some serious anatomy lessons for preschool! :-)
Ha, ha! I wondered if anyone would notice that. They were doing a unit on their body so I'm guessing the teacher was explaining how they were formed in their moments tummy.
